I'm going to try - g/f is unsure of her schedule for Friday so it depends on that. I'll be there either Friday night or Saturday, should know by tomorrow for sure. Let's try to get everyone down there, it's a real fun time. Don't worry about being good or serious, everyone is out to have fun. Plenty of people racing out there with no skills (I won't say who
) but we all have a good time.

Probably good that you got to work tonight - we got rained out early. We did get the first heat in and it went pretty well, but the track had dried out really quick. It was watered down real heavy before the racing began - in fact in the last corner I didn't realize it was that wet and it was like a mud bog race for a bit. By the time it all got started and the four classes ahead of us had dug in, it was real dry and loose. Traction was non-existant for me, so I was coasting around most corners. Still a great time out there, but the rain came in about 20 minutes before our second heat would have started.
We were going to run the Slash race in the rain anyway but no one wanted to stand in the rain and marshall for us
They have a new layout there, it's good but I think the older one favored the Slash more. This is more of a 1/8 ntro track now with more straights and less turns.

I need the "hook-up" on HP's track. I could have made it out there to race The Slash for sure yesterday.
Went down to The Grove for parts. Of course they didnt have the parts I needed, so I walked out without even checking the track out. I heard about the Friday night 2nd heat getting rained out when I was at the LHS in Pineville.
Right now I'm just ready to sell it. !!!
Yeah, I'm in a mood.

What parts did you need? A lot of the parts are the same as the Rustler/Stampede, the few unique items seem to be coming into stores now. For example I heard that Hobby Stop got six sets of Slash tire/wheels last week and sold them all out. They seem to be on top of the Slash better than anyone around.
Did you put the XL5/Titan back in it?

I need a clear body for the Slash. And tire's for another truck.
But yeah, the Slash is back to stock motor + esc & ready to play I guess. Gotta see what kind of runtimes I will get out of GP3300's
* I saw a set of Slash tires & wheels on ebay going for $43 plus shipping........auction had not eneded yet either.

Doug, please don't sell your Slash. It is a blast to drive and I can almost promise you that if you make out to a race you will feel the same. You are more than welcome here at OUR (QCB's) track anytime. If you need it I can post a street address and you can Mapquest or GPS or just shoot me a PM and I will give you directions. You are just as welcome as anyone.

Thanks Harold. I do appreciate it.
I hear the crawling is pretty good too.
PM me a physical address that I can Mapquest. I have no idea where you are at.
I tinkered with the truck a little this evening so I'll try and hang onto it a while longer till I get it on a track.

Doug,
These trucks are slowwwww by our standards, however on the track they are a whole different ball game. When I got mine, put the batteries etc in and ran it and I was like WTF? After getting it on the track, I actually prefered the Stock set up over the brushless.
I know we are getting together on Sunday the 6th at Harolds to work on the LMS track, Im sure we will run some too.. come on out

Yeah I decided pretty much last minute to go. It was a decent turnout, it was real cloudy and raining a little when I got there so I think that scared some people away. We had six entries in the class, ran three heats and a main. The track was drying out way too quick, we watered it down good before the first race and it was dusty before we ran as the fifth class. I did decently in qualifying, although the traction was horrible and it was tough to get any power to the ground. I ended up qualifying in third, only 7 seconds off second place.
Some of the guys had to leave before the mains as it was running long into the day, so we had three in the Slash main. I placed second. Everyone had a great time again, and the two new guys couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had.
