Pulled the Savage XS tranny/motor out.  Was sounding like it was MOD1 vs. 48p gearing.  Looks like the motor is jacked.  Turns literally like a 12turn vs. smooth and tight like a normal brushless motor.  Hopefully HPI will replace it.

Front diff ring gear lost a few teeth this weekend in the XS.  Opened it up-no grease at all-back looks like it got a double shot.  Go figure.  Also broke a shock top. Smiley  Time for some upgrades.  This thing is pretty stable even on 3s and super fast.

Still have the assinine sound from the tranny/motor and have a new motor on the way.  Going to tear everything down hopefully tonight.  May even get into the Flux too.

Anyone know of a good bashing spot for 1/8 scale?

Worked on this a good bit (the RC's were a break):

Jeep looks nice! I'm itching to do some mods to mine. I got a deal on a winch the other day, looking into a bumper now  Grin
I took the rusty and the slider out on the street for a little bashing since the weather was SO NICE

I saw you looking for one.

Jeep has been a long time coming but fortunately a good friend knows his stuff.  He's also into RC's.  Has anything from 1/8 revo to some micro crawlers.  We wrench or weld for a while then take a brake and mostly do speed runs on the street where the pic was taken.

Yep, got a killer deal on a 12k HD warn powerplant  Cool  12K is overkill but, I really like the fact that it has an air compressor.
