Okay, I hope I don't end up being the total fool here but this is what I have done thus far. I have purchased a towerhobbies Transmitter/Receiver that is the 2.4mhz type. Remember, thier brand. Its around $79.99 unless you take advantage of thier discounts which I did. Here is the product: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXWPW0&P=ML

Have I made a mistake or no?

Looks like a decent radio, especially for the price. Do you know if it can bind with Spektrum RXs? That would make it very versitile.

Havent heard to much on its capabilities yet. Its got the goods of 2.4 tech, but no end point adjustments. It may have the pots inside the radio though, if you feel like dabbling into that.

Yeah, about dabbling, I have ordered it already lol so the inevitable will be what quality this thing is.... and I hope it's decent. As far as I know, I maybe teaching my kids a few new words when I start "dabbling with it" if'n ya know what I meen?  Cheesy

To answer Cajun, I don't know much about spectrum like you all do but it does come with its own 2 channel(at least I think it is 2) receiver.
