I just got a Velineon for the Slash though I don't have any LiPO's yet. It seems to shine pretty good with a 7 sell 4600 battery. Can't wait to see how stupid it gets with a 3s.  Cheesy

I will say, though it's hell-ah fun, being a 2x4 makes it fish tail a bunch unlike 4x4 lol.  Tongue

Okay, so today, I got up with one of the guys in the rcnitrotalk forums today. He lives in Valdese. He had another guy with him so we bashed around a little bit. I got the better of the time being it was cold and I was the only one there with an electric and not a big block nitro lol. Not knocking them because i got to see the largest Savage made in action and a Losi monster too... not sure what model it was. They were pretty kewl.
That's not why I am continuing this thread. The reason I am back on it is the fact that I broke the two screw mounts that the esc for my Velineon set on the chassis off.  Shocked The esc and motor are okay but the esc won't stay mounted now.  Roll Eyes I was wondering, sense I didn't follow instructions like I should have and used the saddle that came with the VXL to mount on the chassis, should I use liquid wield or something to put it on this mount or try some other kind of method?  Undecided

My favorite mount system has become industrial strength sticky back Velcro (Home Depot or Lowes) and drill a hole on each side of the component big enough for a zip tie. The Velcro will hold it in place but it can be removed to work on stuff, the zip tie makes sure it stays in place when you "Bullwinkle", but is easily cut and replaced if you need to remove the component for whatever reason.
