I'm making a road trip to NVR on Sunday to race the E-Revo if anyone is interested. It's in Cherryville (near Shelby) and is about an hour from the 77/85 interchange - 85 S to 321. Racing starts at 1, I'm going to try to be on the road around 9:30 - 10 Sunday.

I would love to make it. It's only about 20 to 25 min. from my house. But, I plan on going to the Pilot Mtn. comp. on Sunday. Maybe next time I can make it to give the "TEAM QCB" some support! Wink

Looks like it's a crawling weekend Chris.

Good luck though. I'd love to catch up with you sometime and make it out there. Even if just to help out in the pits. Definately let me know when you go again.

Get you 5mm pinions for your 6.5 Pro today?

Angry  I ordered the pinions from Tower on Monday, they shipped it on Tuesday. They normally get it here in two days but it didn't arrive today. I made a trip down to Hobby Stop this afternoon to get one so I could have it installed before the race tomorrow.. got home, it doesn't mesh. Then I notice on the pinion package "Mod.1" - it's a different depth of 32p gearing that is only compatible with mod.1 spur gears. Short version - they sold me the wrong one.

I checked their online inventory and they have the right one in stock so I'm hoping it's accurate. Mail delivery usually comes here around 4-5pm and I wanted to be at The Grove around 2-3 tomorrow to test it out. I'm going to call them in the morning and make sure they have the right one and hopefully hold it for me. If all goes well I should be there tomorrow around noon doing some time.

If anyone else has the day off come on down, I'm taking the Slash too and will race one or both tomorrow night.

Is it a metal spur for the Revo? I was thinking of getting one so I wouldn't have to worry about stripping gears, but I think I'll just go with what I have for now. It's just mostly aggrevating because I have two different ones paid for but they probably won't be here in time. Dang 5mm pinions are $13 a piece too.

Well they are also like $40 so I'm pretty sure I'll just stick to plastic stockers at $3 each. It's just something I was considering while being bored and unable to drive it tonight Smiley
